Answer:

There are no additional drivers needed as you're using Vista.

If you press and hold down the "Fn" key which is located in the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard and then press the "NumLK" key which is located near the top right hand corner of the keyboard then it will go back into normal functionality.

I've purchased a keysonic ACK-540RF wireless mini-keyboard and am very happy with it, however I've since lost the receiver. This forced me to buy a Bluetooth dongle to connect it to the computer. This does not seem to be able to connect it, can you tell me where to get a new receiver or how to connect my current Bluetooth adaptor to the keyboard. I have searched the internet but have not been able to find any support for this keyboard. Any help would be much appreciated.
Answer:

The reason that your KB-ACK-540RF is not pairing with your Bluetooth dongle is that the keyboard does not support Bluetooth technology, it uses radio frequency hence the RF at the end of the model number. Unfortunately we do not sell the receiver's separately however if I receive any back for RMA service then I will try and get one sent out to you. Please provide postal address to service@nanopoint.co.uk

Why does a Tagan power supply not cool the warm air from inside the PC-case so easily ?
Answer:

It is an old philosophy of earlier technology, that power supply also be used for cooling the PC-case. In the past decade CPUs were not yet so powerful and noise development of PC-systems did not play a great role. The fan of power supply – for saving cost - can then be used also for cooling the PC-case by increasing the fan-speed (with of course higher noise). But nowadays the requirements and the priorities (due to noise pollution, energy saving etc.) are different and changed, e.g. lower noise, higher power & efficiency, more connections etc. Answer : Surely Tagan do this, but not in such an extent as in the earlier time. The optimum balance between heat dissipation and fan noise has now higher priority. The push-pull 180° dual-fans of Tagan power supply sucking steadily the air from the rear (inlet from inside the PC-case), cooling the inside components of the power supply and lastly blowing out the heated air into outside environment; thereafter the heated air plays no more role. The required air-flow is regulated by TSCT (Tagan Silence Control Technology) for optimum noise and for best thermal management. Note: The above old philosophy should not be expected anymore in today's system requirements. A majority of modern PC-cases have now got its own several low-noise fans (incl. fan control unit), which are specially dedicated for cooling the whole PC-system. Why does Tagan sometimes use two fans ?
Answer:

Two fan-blowers have the tasks, that one fan (rear inlet) always sucking in and the other one (front outlet) always blowing out. The air-flow resistance (due to the components lying between) is easier to be bridged over by using 2 fans; in case of too big resistance the air-flow can be interrupted and in the worse-case can even be turned back (so-called “back-pressure”), which is very disadvantageous for the heat-dissipation.

What is the meaning of PS2 in the description of a power supply ?
Answer:

It comes down to the history of PC computer manufacturing. In the early years (ca. 15 years ago) IBM had brought into the market the so-called “PS2- computers” (flat desktops) with special, unique components and dimensions (like PS2 mouse, PS2 keyboard, PS2 cards for special PS2 slots as well as PS2 power supply). It ultimately became a flop, because the PS2 components were only available from IBM but not in the free common market. Anyway, the specified compact standards of PS2 form-factors and dimensions are kept and still used to this day (e.g. PS2 mouse, PS2 keyboard and also PS2 power supply). Note : PS2 power supplies have a defined standard specification in height and width (ca. 86mm x 152mm) as well as the placement of the 4 (four) holes of the screws for fixing, but the depth is varying and not exactly held by many manufacturers, e.g. PSU for industrial IPC or server applications.

I successfully paired my KB-ACK-540RF keyboard with the supplied Radio Frequency dongle but am since having problems when I turn my PC off and on again, resulting in having to pair the dongle and keyboard at every restart, is there a way around this ?

Answer:

Once you turn your PC back on tap the space bar on the keyboard a couple of times, this will bring the keyboard out of sleep mode and save you not having to pair the dongle and keyboard each time.
